First off, thanks to everyone who attended our American Craft Beer Week celebrations! The week was jam packed with events, and our taproom was packed with craft beer lovers. Thanks for making our beer releases, tastings, art show, beer dinner, and beer school a success.

Today Orlando Brewing has been featured by Craft Conscious, a site dedicated to interviewing Craft Beer’s top experts, entrepreneurs and innovators. Hear brewery president John Cheek talk about organic brewing here.

Friday the 22nd we have live acoustic music by Nick Roberts, Zoya Zafar & Who Can Tell at 7 PM. Continuing our tradition of supporting the arts, we’re hosting a painting class on the 27th at 6:30 PM. We’ve had lots of requests for a gluten free beer in the taproom - so our newest guest tap is gluten removed Two Brothers Prairie Path Ale! This Golden Ale has a complex malt character that is paired with Saaz & Golding hops that create a mildly bitter finish. The result is a crisp, drinkable, savory ale, that is light in color but not in flavor.

We have two exciting events planned for this week, BEER:30 and our Halloween Haunted Booery Tour!
This Thursday the 30th all Orlando Brewing beers on tap are $2 off for BEER:30, we’ll have live music by The Luna Bellum and Croutons Catering will be here serving their menu from 5-10 PM. On Halloween, we’ll have our free Haunted Booery Tour at sundown and costume contest at 9 PM, cask(et) conditioned Grateful Pumpkin Ale will be on tap, and Vital Flair foodtruck will be here from 6-11 PM. Thank you to everyone who celebrated Oktoberfest’s kickoff with us this Saturday! It was a fun-filled day of music, food and (of course) beer! Now you can keep the party going with 4-packs of organic Oktoberfest, available in the taproom for $8 each. Our limited edition 2014 Oktoberfest mugs are sold out, but we have Oktoberfest t-shirts on sale for $10 in the online store and at the taproom.

On Thursday, July 31st, we brewed our 1000th batch at Orlando Brewing and really wanted it to be something special. How about a 10% Double IPA? We added organic centennial hops every 10 minutes for 90 minutes for a whopping 100 IBUs. We can’t wait to introduce Grand O’ Hopry, #1000, to your taste buds on September 4th…it’ll make you sing!

Today is August 4th and we’re celebrating 8 years of being a USDA certified organic brewery with $2 certified organic brews all day long! Orlando Brewing is Florida’s first and only organic brewery. We believe in using the highest quality organic ingredients in our fresh brewed beers - come down to our taproom and try one of our 21 brews to taste the difference for yourself! We’ve been featured in Craft Beer in Orlando: The Hoppiest Place on Earth! In this Q&A session John talks about how his passion for craft beer led him from home brewing, to founding the Central Florida Home Brewer’s Club, to owning his own microbrewery.

Big changes have been brewing here on Atlanta Avenue! In the past few months we’ve revealed our new logo and website. We’ve also released 6-packs of Right on Red! Ale as well as our fan favorite I-4 IPA. Once offered only in our taproom, 6-packs of Right on Red! Ale are now available in stores including Total Wine, ABC Liquors, Whole Foods, and the new Trader Joe’s which just opened in Winter Park.

Right on Red! is an Irish style ale with a moderate caramel sweetness. This comes from the malts harmonizing with Noble Hops. The name Right on Red! is a throwback to the first Red Ale we brewed here at Orlando Brewing. With an ABV of 5.3% and a medium body, this impeccably balanced ale is definitely a crowd pleaser.

Come out to Orlando Speed World tomorrow (June 28th) & support local Orlando driver Kelsey Rowling, who will represent Orlando Brewing in the biggest drift competition to hit Orlando…EVER! If you have been to a Pro or Pro-Am drift competition, you know what to expect. If you have never been, you have no idea what you are missing! This competition features many awesome drivers from throughout the Southeast US demonstrating some serious driving and car control. On Sunday, June 29th from 2-6 PM, a charity event will be held in hopes of raising $3,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. With a $5 donation all guests will get Hoppy Hour pricing on all Orlando Brewing beers. There will be a raffle, a cornhole tournament, and soft serve ice cream by Scary Mary’s Nicer Ices. Summer is right around the corner and what better way to kick off the new season than with a Beer Release Party at Orlando Brewing.

To craft this award winning, organic Florida Common Steam Beer we’ve used lager yeast and a fermenting temperature of 60 degrees. Copper in color and medium bodied, this moderately malty brew has pronounced hop bitterness and a touch of citrus from organic Magnum and Cascade hops. Steamee Summer is crisp, smooth and refreshing, a perfect companion to the coming months — and it doesn’t hurt that it’s organic. This limited release seasonal will be available on draft June 21st.

Steamee Summer won a bronze medal for best of show in the 2012 U.S. Open Beer Championship organic category.

This Saturday we are tapping our new Brew Masterpiece release, Day Trippin’ Pale Ale! This is a light bodied, easy drinking Pale Ale with a citrusy bite from using a combination of organic cascade & citra hops. We also dry hopped it with citra hops for a nice citrusy aroma - come out to the taproom this weekend and try it for yourself!

We will be hanging the newest art to be displayed in our taproom throughout the day. The artist will speak about their art pieces around 7PM and live music starts at 9PM.
